Jeff, Steve, Brock and Joe all inherited a god that worked for them. They were comfortable with their hand-me-down god who supported their preferences.

See doubts swirl as actor Tony Lawton retells the narratives of these men when they encounter life events that are too big for their DIY god to handle. Each man is forced to give up divine sources of peace, hope and prosperity as they enter the confusion and uncertainty of knowing whether God is even possible.

No Graven Image tells the stories of men who grapple with the impotence of the divine images they’d received. They deconstruct and make new gods in their own image, searching for one big enough to address their fears and skepticism. Follow their sincere and sometimes hilarious attempts to comprehend the incomprehensible and control the omnipotent. Enter a journey filled with accusations of heresy as the danger of damnation is faced head on.

Watch the answer to the 12th-century prayer of the German mystic Meister Eckhart, “I pray for God to rid me of God.” These are regular guys leaving bread crumbs for the rest of us.
