You have an important story. Thank you for coming to discover, develop and share it at the Can I Get a Witness? Workshop. This is an opportunity for you to clarify and organize your experience of grace in a way that makes sense and allows others to see the goodness, beauty and love of God at work. Others need to know what you have seen and heard that reveals the availability of divine grace to everyone.
This is not a workshop where you will listen to a speaker and take notes. More than information, you will leave with a story, your story. Structured in a form that is welcoming and undeniable, you will be able to share your story in a personal, comfortable and meaningful way in daily conversation or more formal occasions. The workshop is composed of sharing and listening in small groups that are guided to help you construct a story that is authentic, interesting and memorable.
Lunch is provided and there is no cost for the workshop. Free tickets can be printed or available on mobile devices at Eventbrite.com.
Can I Get a Witness? workshop is part of the STORIES of GRACE project. Following this workshop, several stories will be selected for production and presentation at a public community event in April 2020. If your story is selected and if you choose, original music, art and a written narrative will be created by a reflective arts team to communicate your story to a wider audience. Stories of Grace is directed by Sidebar Stories
This project is made possible through a Vital Worship grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship in Grand Rapids, MI with funds provided by the Lilly Endowment Inc. Registration includes my permission to be photographed during the workshop for promotional purposes unless I choose to opt out in writing at the day of the workshop.
